An exciting opportunity for an early career arts administrator with great skills and a love of theatre
Playwriting Australia’s Administration Officer is an entry-level role assisting with the day to day running of our busy Sydney office. This is a new part-time position commencing in March 2014, working 9.30am to 1.30pm daily, Monday to Friday.
The Administration Officer is our first point of contact for artists and stakeholders and provides assistance on a range of office tasks including correspondence, travel, data entry, financial processes, filing and staff and Board meeting arrangements.
The role also encompasses assisting with project management and events, including the administration of script submissions to Playwriting Australia’s artistic programs and events.
You”ll be working at the front line of the organisation, so you must possess a calm and friendly manner in person, in writing and over the phone and be comfortable working with artists. You must have rigorous
attention to detail, outstanding communication skills and a willingness to learn.
Experience in office administration and a general knowledge of the theatre sector would be beneficial. This part time position would suit a graduate wanting to pursue a career in arts management.
