Creative Development Studios
a 2-3 day supported creative research workshop
Creative Development Studio sessions provide playwrights with the opportunity to undertake a 2-3 day period of creative research.
This is an initiative to provide established playwrights with resources (including space, actors, directors or dramaturgs), over a period of up to three days, to aid the development of new scripts. The development is writer-led, putting the playwright and their needs at the heart of the process. Venue and casting support are provided by PlayWriting Australia as required.
Proposals are invited from playwrights or creative teams with a minimum of two professionally produced works. Proposals are assessed twice during the year for Studio dates within the following session.
You are encouraged to discuss your project with the Artistic Director prior to lodging your proposal.
