THE PLAYS
Trolley Boys by Alex Cullen
Todd and Dirk, at 20, are getting lon in the tooth as trolley collectors. A mate is now stacking shelves and even a girlfriend is a security guard. When they discover the great swampy trolley graveyard, their lives start sinking literally as well as metaphorically.
K.I.J.E. by Joanna Erskine
Four young soldiers in a war zone nick off at night to graffitti the scarred urban landscape. To avoid detection they blame the tagging on an invented soldier, Kije. His increasingly daring and compassionate adventures counterpoint their growing brutality and lack of humanity.
Blue Endless by Lynda Ng
Two grieving sisters throw their aunties into chaos when Kiara wants to move to London and Phoebe's kissing strangers. What of the conversations with Daisy at the creepy copse? What of the never-ending drought? A moving play about robust love, palpable loss and trees that scream, weep and bleed.
The Outside by Willoh S. Weiland
Mother, Father and Son live in an inner city apartment dominated by screens. Only their avatars go 'outside'. A work for puppets, performers, machinima, video cameras, gamers and emoticons.
