studio programme
The 2-week residential Studio programme of the National Script Workshop provides writers with the resources to progress to the next stage of creative development, without the expectation of an immediate performance outcome or the need to produce a performance-ready draft.
Writers are invited to continue the development a new work in its early stages of creative development in an intensive studio environment with directors, dramaturgs and an ensemble of actors. Scripts may be completed first drafts requiring further dramaturgy, or incomplete drafts needing to undergo further development.
graduate programme
Running in tandem with the Studio Programme in 2009 and 2010, the Graduate Programme offered recently graduated playwrights, directors and dramaturgs the opportunity to work alongside our senior company on their own creative development.
