Playwright Travel and Promotion Fund
CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
PlayWriting Australia, on behalf of the Theatre Board and the International Market Development section of the Australia Council for the Arts, is now responsible for administering a new travel fund for playwrights: the Playwright Travel and Promotion Fund.
It aims to eliminate one of the biggest barriers to international development for writers by supporting playwrights to travel overseas in order to create new opportunities for international productions of their work.
Playwrights may apply to travel for an existing production of their work, with a view to making contacts and attending meetings that have a strong likelihood of creating opportunities for future productions, or for a programme of international promotional activities, initiatives and meetings intended to create future opportunities for production, created in consultation with the International Officer.
Playwrights can apply for a maximum of $3,000 to cover travel costs, per diems and accommodation.
Applications closed
The Playwright Travel & Promotion Fund has now concluded. For other possible sources of funding and support for international travel, contact the Australia Council for the Arts or your state government.
